About Slawomir Wozniak
Artistic Director of Master Ballet Academy and The Phoenix Ballet
Slawomir Woźniak trained at the Poznań Ballet School and upon graduation in 1986 accepted an invitation to join the Wroclaw Opera House. In 1988, he became a soloist of the Teatr Wielki in Łódź and in 1989 was promoted to the rank of principal dancer. In 1991, Mr. Woźniak joined the Ballet of the National Opera in Warsaw as a first soloist. From 2000-2011 he was a principal dancer with the company. He has performed as a Guest Artist with the Bulgarian National Ballet, Greek National Ballet, and Arena Di Verona Ballet among many others. Mr. Woźniak is a graduate of the Ballet Pedagogy at the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. His honors include the bronze medal at both the New York International Ballet Competition and the Japan International Ballet Competition as well as being nominated for “Revelation of the Year 1992” by French Magazine Danse. He has served as a Jury Member for the World Ballet Competition in Orlando, Florida and the Polish International Ballet Competition in Gdansk, Poland. For the last several years, Mr. Woźniak has created many choreographies for Ballet, Opera and Drama theatres.
