NUTCRACKER
2023 ART & ESSAY CONTEST


Central Florida Ballet will be sponsoring this contest among students of Orange, Lake, Osceola and Seminole Counties in all three levels: Elementary, Middle, and High school. These students will have the opportunity to enter Christmas or Nutcracker themed essays, poems, or art pieces to be judged by a Central Florida Ballet committee.

The overall first place winner will receive 4 tickets to the Central Florida Ballet’s 2023 Nutcracker production; the overall second and third place winners will receive 2 tickets each.

Submission Categories:

• Small/Large Page Art Work

• Oil on Canvas

• Short Story/Poem

• Acrylic Pour on Wooden Medium

Submission should include Student Name, Grade, School, Teacher's Email, and Teacher's Phone. Written entries must be no more than 350 words. Submissions of clay, pottery, or other breakable artwork are NOT permitted.

Deadlines for Entries:

Monday, November 27, 2023

The drop off location is the Central Florida Ballet’s studios located at 3306 Maggie Blvd, Suite B, Orlando, FL, 32811. Please email Annette Rivera at arivera@centralfloridaballet.com to schedule a drop-off appointment. If mailing an entry, please get a tracking option to ensure your entry is delivered.

The art work pieces will be held for three weeks after the contest deadline at our studios. Please call ahead to schedule a pick-up appointment. If they are not picked up they will be disposed by the CFB staff.
